Words to describe autumn fabric for 2019: Cuddly, super soft, brushed, furry, ribbed, corded, suede, double faced, jacquard, waffle, basket weave, boucle, boiled, tweed, chenille, cable, printed, sequined, fringe, textured leathers, flocked, burnout, bubbly, distressed, pleated, clear coated, quilted, puffer, shiny, matte, melange, glitter and colourful.
Animal prints are back and one of the top trends for Autumn / Winter 2019.
Leopard, snakeskin, tiger, cheetah and zebra on every type of fabric such as wovens, knits, jacquards, glossy leatherette, faux fur and burnout velvets.
Colour is what makes these prints look new again. Leopard skins in vivid brights such as electric blue, snakeskins in vibrant red, tiger prints in mustard yellow. Of course, the traditional classic neutral shades are still very popular.
Plaids are back for Autumn 2019; traditional patterns in non-traditional colours.
Take a Royal Stewart pattern and make it modern in bright violet and acid yellow or any check pattern in contrasting colour combinations.
