That’s too funny! I wasn’t aware that tropical prints were trending this year and I just completely redecorated my living room using your tropical upholstery prints on sale LOL!

Great! You’re trending without even realizing it. We’d love to see photos of your living room redo. If you’re planning to share them on social media just tag us! @fabriclandontario on Instagram and Facebook

Where can I get this kind of material? It certainly doesn’t show up at my store in Ottawa Ontario! I am lucky if I can find one or two types of material I want to make something with. The quality is poor (you can see through it and not because you’re supposed to!), and the style is usually large florals or inexpensive (cheap) knits. The design of the fabrics above are beautiful – where are they?

    • Fabricland says:

Hi Maureen, Thanks for your comments. The Garden of Eden fabric collection is part of the Home Dec section, which has a considerable selection of really wonderful prints. Some people use the indoor/outdoor home decor fabric for clothing, but it’s mainly used for cushions, drapery, reupholster and similar. If you are not able to locate something when visiting a store, please do check with a staff member as they will be able to assist. Thank you.

I would love to make clothing with any of the above fabrics , especially the Shangela deco berry fabric. I hope you will bring in apparel that looks like this before summer is over with.

Can you use the Shangela Decor Berry for upholstering French Provincial armchairs and about how much would you need?

    • Fabricland says:

Hi Brenda. Yes, this fabric can be used for light upholstery (occasional chairs not heavy use). It’s difficult to predict quantity as all chairs are different sizes, so would be best to have the upholsterer estimate requirements.
