Celebrate Tooth Fairy Day!

Sunday August 22 is National Tooth Fairy Day and we’re celebrating with a Tooth Fairy Pouch DIY.

WHAT YOU NEED
Felt (light & medium weight)
Rick Rack or other trim
Sewing Machine & Thread
Felt Glue
Pencil / Scissors / Ruler

Step 1:
Measure & cut a 3.5” x 9” (9cm x 23cm) rectangle out of medium weight felt.

OPTIONAL DECORATION:
Cut ONE end of the rectangle into shape to create a fun design.

Step 2:
Using the tooth template provided (included with PDF Instructions), cut out the shape from light weight felt.

Step 3:
Attach the felt tooth 1.75” (4.5cm) down from the top edge of the rectangle, but not the end that was cut in the Optional Decoration.

Step 4:
Fold the rectangle, leaving approximately 1.25” (3cm) sticking out. Sew up the sides of the folded area using a 1/4” seam. This will create the pocket of your pouch.

Step 5:
After sewing, snip just past the sewn area and down. Be careful not to cut too far! This will create the envelope closure of your pouch.

Step 6:
Fold the end into the opening of the pouch.

Step 7:
Flip your project over & start decorating! Personalize your pouch with felt letters, rick rack or even buttons … get creative!

Tooth Fairies can also be found on some craft cottons available in-store for any fantastical projects you have planned.
